Stringing Materials for DIY Flex Mesh
Core Components:
- Lacrosse Leathers or Women’s Runners (x2)
Structural Strings:
- Lacrosse Sidewalls (x2) – 30 inches each
- Lacrosse Top String (x1) – 37 inches
Shooting Strings:
- Women’s Shooters (x2 or x3) – 30 inches each
Crosslace for Assembly:
- Connection Pieces (to attach leathers to sidewall) – 2 pieces, 32 inches each
- Center Track – 2 pieces, 72 inches each
Instructions:
- Attach the Top String to the Leathers: Secure them in place to form the foundation of your pocket.
- Install the Sidewalls: These provide structure, ensuring a consistent channel.
- Crosslace Integration:
- Use 32-inch pieces to connect the leathers to the sidewalls.
- Weave 72-inch pieces through the center track for balance and pocket integrity.
- Shooter Placement: Adjust for feel and control—two for a softer release, three for added hold.
- Fine-Tune the Pocket: Ensure everything is symmetrical and tensioned correctly.
- Break It In: Adjust strings as needed to achieve optimal playability.
