Best Women’s Lacrosse Sticks for Goalies
There are a lot of great women’s lacrosse sticks on the market, but which ones are the best? Here are some of the best women’s goalie lacrosse sticks on the market.
- StringKing Mark 2G Goalie Lacrosse Head Strung with Grizzly Mesh (White, Grizzly 2X)
- STX Eclipse 2 Complete Lacrosse Goalie Stick
- Warrior Nemesis 3 Complete Goal Stick
- STX Shield 100 Complete Goalie Lacrosse Stick

The Mark 2G is a high-quality goalie lacrosse head that comes with a pretty solid pre-strung pocket from the factory. However, younger players may struggle to handle it due to its excessive whip, and due to this we think it would be smart to offer two versions, one youth and one adult. Taller goalies, on the other hand, may find it easier to manage. According to some high school players, the equipment requires some modifications, such as adjusting the bottom string and shooters, but it performs well after these changes. The Mark 2G has more sidewall holes than any other goalie head available in the market. It can be a bit brittle during the winter season up north, so it's wise to have a backup. With a 6-month warranty, the StringKing Mark 2G is an excellent choice from a reputable brand.

The Eclipse 2 is a highly popular lacrosse goalie head that has undergone some thoughtful changes based on research and community feedback, courtesy of STX. However, it's disappointing to see the company cutting corners when it comes to stringing. In fact, we've had to fix more factory Eclipse 2 heads than any other goalie head, which means you might end up buying it just for the parts. While shafts aren't crucial for goalies and many never have to replace the head, it's advisable to look for a good stringer and purchase some quality mesh to ensure longevity.

The Nemesis 3 is a great option, but it's challenging to locate in local stores because Warrior has eliminated most good ones through increased barriers and now only offers it through select online retailers. Although the Nemesis 3 may not be the most popular, it does have its own fanboys (us included) which we recommend to restring from the factory pocket. Mesh isn't terrible but it's not comparable to the new performance mesh, shooters are usually too tight, and the pocket needs pounding.

Ideal for recreational-level goalies and newcomers, the STX Shield 100 Strung Lax Goalie Stick is an excellent choice. However, be mindful that the factory stringing may require some adjustments. We recommend loosening the shooting strings and adding a U Shooter to minimize whip while still maintaining affordability in your options.
