LaxCon 2019 was our time to reconnect with our lacrosse family and find new relatives too. There’s nothing better than seeing the lacrosse community, and LaxCon 2019 didn’t disappoint. We were able to catch up with plenty of the great brands we met the previous year and learn how they have improved. The Fan Fest really stole the show though. All of the hype was alive and well at LaxCon 2019 during the Fan Fest, and there were lots of professional men’s and women’s lacrosse players there to share in the excitement with the biggest lacrosse family on the planet.

LaxCon 2018 Lacrosse Convention
LaxCon 2018 in Baltimore was our first experience at a LaxCon. As longtime lacrosse players, we had only heard of LaxCon’s wonders up until we arrived. There’s not an easy way to describe how we first saw LaxCon because our experience started the day before the Fan Fest. We didn’t realize how few people would be there that first day compared to the second. It wasn’t a let down, but it was a bit of a surprise when we first walked in. After the initial shock, and getting to go see the Fan Fest too, we found ourselves right at home in Baltimore during LaxCon 2018. There is an easy way to describe that feeling though because it felt like being part of a family.

What is LaxCon Fan Fest?
The LaxCon Fan Fest is the main attraction at LaxCon that really contains all the action. You can also get in the Fan Fest for only $10. All of the booths are inside of the actual Fan Fest and these are where you can find the best gems of LaxCon. You’ll meet another player from a different part of the country and become friends inside the Fan Fest or you won’t speak to anyone; those are your options. The pros swing through the Fan Fest as well and you can get a chance to speak to them or get a picture. The other great part is all the companies that are selling new or discounted products at LaxCon. You’ll be able to walk away with a great memory from the Fan Fest no matter what you do.
Are there Coaches Clinics at the US Lacrosse Convention?
If you’re going to attend LaxCon you should really look into the clinics that the hold as well. They have the very best coaches and pros in the world there to share their knowledge for a really low cost. Any coach that is looking for a way to take their team to the next level should attend these. Not only can you pick up tips for structuring plays or schemes, but you can also get a new perspective on coaching. Renew your team’s fighting spirit or learn how to grow a program in an area that is just getting lacrosse. No matter your situation, as a coach you owe it to your team to attend.
What types of lacrosse booths are at LaxCon?
If you are in the area near LaxCon, you’ll want to check out the Fan Fest and all the awesome booths in it. There are tons of companies that are trying to show off the newest technology and products that they have to offer you. Picking out a new stick for the next season will never be easier. Lot’s of these booths are also having deals or trying to clear out some of their older product that they need to move. So be sure to take a wide look around and don’t be afraid to come back to a booth instead of buying right away. You also don’t want to wait forever though because there are other people at LaxCon that might scoop that steal you were considering.
