Stringers Society was founded on August 17, 2017 by Matthew Rode in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. The goal was straightforward: bring honest lacrosse education, real stringing knowledge, and trusted gear resources to players of all levels — without the fluff.
What started as a resource site built by college lacrosse players grew into a full stringing service, gear review platform, and the StringDex pattern library — all run from the same table in Chagrin Falls.
There’s no team of writers guessing what players need. Every pattern in the StringDex has been strung by hand. Every gear review reflects what actually works on the field. That’s the standard Stringers Society has held since day one.

Matthew Rode
Founder · Certified Team Stringer · Stringers Society LacrosseMatthew Rode is the founder of Stringers Society Lacrosse, a certified team stringer based in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. A Capital University lacrosse alumnus and stringer since 5th grade, he founded the organization on August 17, 2017 to share real lacrosse stringing knowledge with players of all levels.
Matthew didn’t build Stringers Society to be the best player on the field — he built it to be the best stringer at the table. As a certified team stringer who played attack at the college level, he brings technical knowledge and hands-on experience to every pocket he strings and every guide he publishes.
With over 1,500 sticks strung since 2017, Matthew’s work spans youth players, high school athletes, college players, and men’s league regulars — all of whom get the same attention to pocket detail regardless of level.

Yes. We offer professional stringing services for men’s, women’s, and goalie lacrosse heads — both mesh and traditional pockets. Every head is strung by Matthew Rode to your exact specifications.
$40 for men’s and women’s mesh pockets. $45 for goalie heads. Prices are exclusive of stringing supplies. We’ll help you choose the right mesh and string setup for your position and play style.
We offer mesh and traditional pockets across all five pocket depths — from low to high and everything in between. We’ll discuss your position, throwing style, and preferences to dial in the right setup.
